agree with a lot of this, i recently brought my FB friend follower count down to 99 from 400... the value of the service increased exponentially.

I should really try that one. I'm friends with far too many people and don't derive much value from the service as-is. I've done the same thing in the past with Twitter and it's worked fairly well.

I use FB to my friends, like people from school, childhood etc, so dont matter how much i have on fb, I dont keep checking all updates there, just use it to chat. For updates I use twitter or g+(now it seens pretty decent) so I have there all my friends from internet and coworkers, so it goes like: fb for normal life and g+ or twiiter for nerd life.

Yeah, Facebook has basically turned into a glorified extended network address book for me, it's more reliable for contacting people I haven't in a long time than e-mail.

Really really awesome stuff. Personal action item: follow less people on Twitter.

And I'm down to 86 from 119. Not bad. :)
